Michael was born in Ottawa in the middle of last century. He remembers horse drawn milk and bread wagons in the early 50’s. Twenty-five years after the miraculous event, he was called to the bar of Ontario. Following fifteen years of a circuitous career path, including colorizing the first year of Gilligan’s Island, he answered the siren call of British Columbia and eventually found himself as a sole practitioner solicitor in beautiful, downtown Courtenay.
His practice for the last twenty-eight years can be described as “transaction law” which includes conveyancing of real estate and related financing and subdivisions, aquaculture licensing, corporate, commercial, wills, probate and estate administration. He doesn’t stand on formality and “gets the job done” expeditiously and cost effectively. He looks forward to continuing to serve on-going, former and new clients.
After a half century of downhill skiing, Michael exchanged the boards for a motorcycle and has enjoyed riding this beautiful island and several long trips off-island. Freemasonry, river fishing for salmon and steelhead and cheering for the Blue Jays occupies some of his spare time.
